There was a wonderful turnout on Saturday, May 13, 2017 for the Team Elite-Wisconsin Softball/Baseball Clinic.  There were 87 youth signed up for the clinic.  Ho-Chunk youth travelled from Wittenberg and Tomah and there were many youth from the Black River Falls area that participated.  The clinic was open to all Ho-Chunk Youth of all ages.  The event was free and organized by Team Elite.  The Ho-Chunk Nation is a sponsor of Team Elite-Wisconsin.  They compete in USSSA B, GSL B and ASA C sanctions softball.
Team Elite-Wisconsin presented the Ho-Chunk Nation with a plaque at the end of the clinic. The plaque was graciously received by representatives from the Ho-Chunk Bull Dawgs and the Ho-Chunk Nation Youth Services on behalf of the Ho-Chunk Nation.  The team was very excited to work with the Ho-Chunk Youth.  Team Elite Manager Jake Schoemann expressed, “It was a lot of fun. It’s good to be around kids and watch them play and be active.  It’s a different atmosphere these days with kids. It’s nice to see them out playing and I’m glad to be part of it. We hope to continue this partnership in the future.”
Team Elite Co-Manager Tony Riely stated, “It was actually a great turnout.  The kids were very energized.  They were very interested in the things that we were teaching. I’m very, very happy with this opportunity.  I just hope that the kids continue to work on the things that were taught. I look forward to seeing some good things from these kids in the future.”
