Face masks are still required for all patients, visitors,
and employees in the Ho-Chunk Nation Department of Health clinics, health
offices, and facilities. The goal is to
keep all safe from COVID and other airborne infectious diseases.
On March 8, the Ho-Chunk Nation Legislate Branch announced
an amendment to the Ho-Chunk Nation Face Covering Ordinance that face masks are
not required for patrons, guests, or visitors.
Face masks are recommended for those individuals. However, per that same amendment, employees must
wear face masks.
At the March 22 Regular Meeting, the Legislature reassessed
the Face Covering Ordinance. The
recommendation was to include the Department of Health’s mask requirement.
If conditions continue to improve, the Department of Health
will revisit the face mask requirement and announce any changes.
