TERO Supportive Services

A Job Skills Bank Application  Must Be Completed Fully Prior To Receiving Supportive Services

(as funding allows and provided no other resources are available, i.e., if payroll deductions can be used, TERO will not purchase uniforms, shoes, etc…)

An application for the TERO Supportive Services must be completed, prior to receiving a 1st paycheck.  The Job Skills Bank registrant must provide a letter of hire, with start date, job description and date of 1st paycheck to be received. 

  1. Uniforms:  Once per lifetime per registrant, last resort as stated above.

No general work clothes (no undergarments, socks, tee shirts, tank tops, blue jeans, shorts, tennis shoes, etc….).

*Office attire only for LTE/ Permanent employees, with dress code submission with letter of hire, not to exceed $75.00, once per program year per registrant.

Steel-toed work boots/steel-toed work shoes only, provided there is a letter from the employer stating the special need, once per lifetime per registrant.

One car-hart, not to exceed $100.00, provided there is a letter from the employer       stating the special need, once per lifetime per registrant.

 B. Car Insurance:  Once per program year per registrant.

Permanent employee-only 3 months liability coverage is allowed for one vehicle. LTE employee-only 1 month liability coverage.   Participant must submit proof of ownership by car title and valid drivers license.  Two estimates are required for payment of insurance coverage, as related to the job description.

  1.  Car Repair/Towing:  Once per every 3 years per registrant.

$250.00 max.  Registrant must provide proof of ownership of vehicle and valid driver’s license.  (No basic car maintenance allowed-oil changes, tires, tune up, wipers, batteries.)  Car repair is only available for the participant whose job description requires dependable transportation for employment.

  1. Gas Assistance:  Once per program year per registrant.

LTE/Permanent employees who need gas assistance can receive up to $20.00 per      week for a two week maximum per registrant until they receive their 1st paycheck      or not to exceed 9 days.  A letter of authorization for gas should be provided to the vendor, (Tribal C-Store.)

  1. Tools/Equipment:  Once per lifetime per registrant. Starter Carpenter Tool Set

$175.00 max.  No power tools allowed to be purchased.
An estimate is required. 

Tools must be job related to position according to letter from the employer

  1. Rent Assistance:  Once per lifetime per registrant.

Must be a permanent employee relocating 100 miles closer to worksite.
The first months rent assistance is not to exceed $425.00. A lease is required. 

  1. Lunch Assistance:  Once per program year per registrant.

LTE/Permanent employees who need lunch assistance can receive $5.00 per actual work day until they receive their 1st  paycheck or not to exceed 9 days.

A letter of authorization for lunch should be provided to the vendor, (Tribal C-Store.)
