Educators share ideas on preserving the language
At the Language Division's HoCak Language Survival: Charting our Course Conference, two nationally recognized language authorities from outside the Nation shared their views on the importance of saving Native American languages.

Ho-Chunk receive bison from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife service
Ritchie Brown and Steve Funmaker, members of the Ho-Chunk Nation, traveled to Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge, 25 miles east of Des Moines, Iowa, to provide "Limo" style transportation to newly acquired bison.

Health clinic opening
On December 31, 2002 starting at 8:30 am until 11:30 am, the HCN Department of Health and Social Services will host a limited or soft opening to its new clinic in Black River Falls.
